One of Minecraft’s most popular fan-made survival challenges has officially entered a new chapter. On 30th July, 2026, Mojang launched Minecraft OneBlock Online. The classic OneBlock mode is now available in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Players can experience it as an official multiplayer mode.
The idea is still familiar. You begin with a single floating block and slowly build an island from almost nothing. The difference is that you no longer have to do it alone. Friends can join the same island, share resources, complete challenges together, and help the world grow much faster.
The Minecraft OneBlock Online is available through the Server tab. It adds new ways to play, from progression and combat to automation and seasonal events. Mojang has already confirmed that more phases, blocks, and items are planned for future updates, making this more than a one-time launch.
Why This Launch Matters:
- Minecraft OneBlock is now available as an official Bedrock multiplayer mode.
- Friends can build and progress on the same island together.
- New activities include PvP battles, PvE challenges, and server events.
- Automation tools help reduce repetitive work.
- Mojang plans to expand the mode with future content updates.
Like the original OneBlock mode, every adventure starts with a single regenerating block floating in the sky. Each block you break unlocks new materials and moves you through 29 progression phases. As the island grows, better resources become available, opening the door to larger builds and new challenges.
But survival is no longer just about mining. Daily and weekly quests reward XP that unlocks permanent island upgrades. You can expand your island, improve crop growth, and increase mob spawner rates. These upgrades give players a reason to keep developing their world instead of starting over.
Playing with friends also changes the pace of the game. One player might focus on farming while another searches for valuable loot. Sharing the workload helps the island grow faster and makes every session feel more rewarding.
Once your island is running smoothly, new adventures begin. Monster islands are home to custom enemies that drop valuable rewards. Those resources can be used to unlock stronger gear, unique armor effects, and special enchantments. Players looking for competition can head into dedicated PvP arenas. Battles take place separately, so their main island remains untouched.
Back at home, worker minions and automation tools take care of routine jobs. They can harvest crops, chop trees, collect resources, and help manage farms. Features like auto-crafting chests, chunk hoppers, and auto-sell chests help manage everyday tasks. This gives players more time to build, explore, or take on tougher challenges.
There is also plenty of room for creativity. Players can decorate their islands with hundreds of furniture items. They can also personalize their characters with a wide range of cosmetics. These include hats, wings, pins, chat titles, and chat colors.
The launch of Minecraft OneBlock Online shows how Mojang is expanding the Minecraft universe with new ways to play. Mojang has done more than make OneBlock official. The studio has expanded the mode with multiplayer, new goals, and regular server events. These additions give players more reasons to come back.
The update also arrives during a busy year for the franchise. Earlier, Mojang announced Minecraft Dungeons II, the sequel to its action RPG spin-off, which is set to launch on September 29, 2026. Together, these releases show that Mojang is expanding the Minecraft universe in different ways. One focuses on multiplayer survival, while the other builds on the series’ action RPG adventure.
Even with these additions, the heart of OneBlock remains the same. Every adventure still starts with a single block. From there, players slowly build a thriving island through teamwork, exploration, and creativity. This is only the beginning for Minecraft OneBlock. Mojang has already confirmed more updates, so players can expect new content after launch.
Author’s Note
At The New York press release, we believe Minecraft OneBlock Online is more than a multiplayer update. It shows Mojang’s commitment to building on community-driven ideas. With more content already planned, the mode has the potential to become a lasting part of the Minecraft Bedrock experience.
